A few of my favourite projects

March 2025-June 2025: Executing Data Analyst – SmartShift Communications
- Led quantitative analysis for public health research project: “Young People, Social Identities and Nicotine Use,” examining how social identities and peer group affiliations influence nicotine-related attitudes and behaviours among youth and young adults in the Central West Ontario region
- Supported development of two survey tools for youth and young adults through SimpleSurvey
- Monitored survey responses to detect spam/fraud patterns and maintain survey validity
- Cleaned and validated data to develop two dataset for analysis
- Developed analysis pipeline using R to provide the team with descriptive analyses, cross-tabs, and predictive models for nicotine use across 80,000+ data points
- Collaborated with the lead qualitative researcher to iteratively develop a mixed-methods analysis that met and exceeded client expectations
- Produced data visualizations for use in interim and final client presentations and the final report.

May 2026 – : Senior Consultant, DataScan – PGgrowth
- Ownership of DataScan service for non-profit planned giving prospect discovery
- Project lead responsible for cleaning, validating, and analysing donor data for non-profit organizations
- Creating final reports and client-facing presentations to explain data findings
Highlights:
- Refined the existing primarily Excel-based DataScan process to create an efficient, reproducible, flexible, and accurate analysis pipeline in R.

April 2025 – : Associate Consultant, Operations – PGgrowth
- Remote work with a cross-Canada team of fundraising professionals supporting non-profits
- Ownership of client survey pipeline, from data acquisition through cleaning, wrangling, deployment and analysis of results
- Maintaining documentation throughout projects and providing progress updates
- Assisting the CEO and VP, Business Dev. with administrative functions and processes
- Assessing processes for opportunities to augment or re-design for efficiency, while acknowledging technological support needs for the team and clients.
Highlights:
- Worked with a non-profit’s donor database to uncover legacy giving prospects and existing planned gifts sufficient to inspire the creation of a new Giving Coordinator position at the charity.

August 2025 – : Data Analyst – Community Solutions
- Dashboard creation for a province-wide school data project (for United Way)
- Data transformations, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Troubleshooting with project leads
- Restructuring data transformation pipeline as project scope necessitates.

March – September 2025: Data Analyst / Co-Writer of Annual Report – Out in Schools, Out on Screen
- Data cleaning, wrangling, transformations, and visualization
- Analysis and program evaluation
- Collaboration with Director of Education to analyze data and address data gaps
- Creation of Python scripts for analysis, including correlations and semantic analyses
- Comparison with prior years’ data and creation of visualizations for use in annual report
- Formatting, writing, and finalizing annual report according to brand guidelines for publication.

July 2018 – 2025: Head of Research and Content Development – Leaf Score Inc.
- Analyzed health data, environmental reports, residential solar installation databases, and other materials to understand and better communicate the impacts of household products and promote healthier, more sustainable alternatives
- Used major solar installation databases to create city and state guides to the cost of going solar.
